Here is one of my personal favorite pieces: a grid drawing of Jim Carrey. The reason this is one of my favorites is because it is a MASSIVE improvement from a grid drawing I did of Gordan Ramsey a while back. Also, by choosing a picture that really highlighted Jim's wrinkles, I decided to push myself in terms of facial detail, and I am very happy with the end result. In my opinion, one of the highlights of this project are the eyes/eye wrinkles. I spent hours trying to get the right shape and capture all the bags and wrinkles around the eyes. Even though I feel I could have drawn the mouth and hair with more realism, I still loved every second of this project.
